The Associated Press broke the news on Tuesday that adult film star Stormy Daniels would take the stand in the hush money trial of former President Donald Trump.

According to the AP, Daniels’ lawyer Clark Brewster said that his client was “likely” to take the stand for the prosecution on Tuesday.

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump posted — and then deleted — about not being told who Tuesday’s witness would be, writing:

I have just recently been told who the witness is today. This is unprecedented, no time for lawyers to prepare. No Judge has ever run a trial in such a biased and partisan way. He is CROOKED & HIGHLY CONFLICTED, even taking away my First Amendment Rights. Now he’s threatening me with JAIL, & THEY HAVE NO CASE – This according to virtually all Legal Scholars & Experts! Why isn’t the Fake News Media reporting his Conflict?

Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, is the figure at the center of the hush money trial when she claimed to have had an extramarital affair with Trump not long after his wife Melania Trump gave birth to their son Barron. Trump is alleged to have reimbursed his former lawyer Michael Cohen for a $130,000 hush money payment so she would keep the story under wraps ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Trump is charged with allegedly falsifying business records to cover up the true nature of the payment.

Trump denied the affair and has pleaded guilty to all 34 counts against him.
