Trump Fan At Rally Tells MAGA Host How Much Trump Tariffs Are Hurting Her Company — But Still Thinks He’s ‘Fantastic!’

A Trump fan told pro-MAGA host Christina Loren that President Donald Trump’s tariffs are hurting the company where she works, but said she still thinks Trump is doing a “fantastic” job.

Hours after the passage of his so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” Trump held a rally at the  Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines and Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) was on hand to cover the festivities from end-to-end.

The president’s speech featured many variations on familiar themes like hypothetical vehicular mayhem and the occasional assassination joke.

RSBN co-hosts Robert McNeily and Christina Loren provided running commentary and interviewed members of the crowd and MAGA figures for hours before Trump’s speech.

One of them was a woman named Karen Sergesen, who said she works in a warehouse for a company that’s being hurt by Trump’s tariffs. But she and Loren reasoned that it’s all going to be good in the long term, and Sergeson had a positive message when asked what she’d like to say to Trump:

KAREN SERGESON: You know, I’m ready to retire now.

CHRISTINA LOREN: Wait, what did you do?

KAREN SERGESON: I’m a warehouse worker, I drive a high-loft.

CHRISTINA LOREN: Yes, God bless you!

KAREN SERGESON: I use a crane and put the parts in the boxes and put them in boxes and ship them all over the country.

CHRISTINA LOREN: How many women in your field?

KAREN SERGESON: I’m the only girl there.

CHRISTINA LOREN: I figured as much, look at you.

KAREN SERGESON: Yeah, there’s only three of us on our dock that do this.

I work for a company, Detroit Stoker, and they do industrial boiling. The system that moves it into the furnaces, we have customers all over.

But the tariffs is really hurting that company right now because the parts are coming from China, the castings.

And the tariffs, we’ve got a lot of stock that is supposed to go out of country, with universes, everybody. And it’s sitting on our dock because the customer doesn’t want to accept it because of the tariffs right now.

CHRISTINA LOREN: It’s too much for them to to take it in.

KAREN SERGESON: We’ve had numerous containers come in the last couple weeks because we’ve been storing it in a bonded warehouse before it comes to us, saving us money to try to pass this to the customers.

CHRISTINA LOREN: Import taxes are a real problem and you know what’s interesting is is you’re here.

This is impacting your industry directly, but you’re like me and you understand the fact that it’s the long-term gains. It’s gonna hurt for a little bit. Just like President Trump told us.

KAREN SERGESON: The people I work with when they did the tariffs, because it’s hurting our company, they were so mad, I go “listen. This is going to be temporary, but it’s for the future. It’s for your kids’ futures. Something’s got to happen, otherwise the country will go broke.”

CHRISTINA LOREN: What would you say, President Trump has from time to time been known to watch RSBN and we’re grateful for it. What would say if he was watching right now and you had his ear?

KAREN SERGESON: You’re doing a fantastic job, keep it up, and you’re making America great again!
