Trump Wakes Up to Trash ‘STUPID AND UGLY WINDMILLS’ for ‘KILLING’ New Jersey

President Donald Trump fumed Tuesday that the “STUPID AND UGLY” wind turbines were “KILLING” New Jersey and blasted the renewable energy project for failing to reduce consumer costs.

Taking to Truth Social moments before an interview on Fox News, Trump wrote:

STUPID AND UGLY WINDMILLS ARE KILLING NEW JERSEY. Energy prices up 28% this year, and not enough electricity to take care of state. STOP THE WINDMILLS!

The president’s latest outburst underscored a broader and ongoing hostility that has already stalled billions of dollars in offshore wind investment along the Eastern Seaboard.

Since returning to the White House, Trump has withdrawn federal waters from new leasing, frozen permitting, and directed agencies to halt approvals for offshore wind nationwide, Politico reported.

The result has been devastating for New Jersey, where one project canceled its power contract this summer after federal regulators pulled its air permit. Shell has already walked away from another planned development off the state’s coast.

Industry advocates say the administration’s approach has created a “chilling effect” on investment, leaving roughly a dozen East Coast projects in bureaucratic limbo.

Analysts estimate the policies could delay or derail more than $100 billion in offshore wind spending, slashing clean energy targets and knee-capping states that had banked on wind to meet surging demand.
