Ukraine Hit by 479 Russian Drones in Largest Offensive of the War: Ukraine Air Force

Russia has bombarded Ukraine with the largest attack of the 3-year-old conflict, launching 479 drones overnight in a bold offensive, the Ukrainian air force said Monday.

The Ukraine air force told the Associated Press Monday that they were able to knock out 277 drones and 19 missiles, adding that in total, just 10 targets were hit.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the Associated Press Sunday that “the situation is very difficult” in those areas, but didn’t get into specifics.

One person was reportedly injured in the Russian strike.

The assault comes days after President Donald Trump fired off a Truth Social post that he had spoken to Russian strongman Vladimir Putin on the phone was told “very strongly,” that Russia “will have to respond” to a devastating drone attack by Ukraine’s on Russian airfields last week.
