WATCH: Airline Worker Loses Control of Refueling Hose, Sending Jet Fuel Spraying Across Tarmac

Shocking viral video out of Dallas Fort-Worth shows the moment a ground crew worker at DFW Airport lost control of a refueling hose, sending highly-flammable jet fuel spraying across the tarmac for nearly a minute.

The worker appeared to calmly walk away from the uncontrollable spray after he was unable to recapture the pressurized hose.

“Take a look at this wild video from DFW Airport in Texas,” Fox Business Network reported Monday. “A worker there losing control of a refueling hose leading to a massive spill of jet fuel around an American Eagle plane. It was parked at the gate. You see the hose snaking under the aircraft. Airport containment personnel had to clean up the mess.”

The spill happened Saturday during the refueling of an American Eagle plane parked at a gate in Terminal E, American Airlines confirmed in a statement to The New York Post.

“We are looking into the incident with DFW Airport and the airport’s fueling contractor, Menzies, and worked together on the cleanup per procedure,” American Airlines told The Post.
