President Joe Biden may not face criminal charges, but his aides are concerned that special counsel Robert Hur’s findings could include details which are “embarrassing” to the president — a new report reveals.

According to Axios, there is concern in the White House that the special counsel’s report could “hurt [Biden’s] re-election campaign.”

“Biden aides don’t expect criminal charges in the case,” Axios’s Alex Thompson writes, “But they believe Hur’s report will include embarrassing details — possibly with photos — on how Biden stored documents.”

The notion that photos could be included recalls the infamous image of classified documents strewn across the carpet at Mar-a-Lago. And Axios reported the Biden team fears former President Donald Trump will try to equate his situation with his successor’s.

Special Counsel Hur was a U.S. Attorney nominee of Trump’s in 2017, and according to Axios, his appointment created addition friction between the White House and Attorney General Merrick Garland. Axios’s Thompson reports the tension has been “fueled by Garland’s appointment of the special counsel investigating Hunter Biden, feelings that Garland was too slow to investigate Trump over Jan. 6, and other frustrations.”
