‘Oh My God!’ Bird Roosts on Head of White House Reporter in Middle of Live Shot

NewsNation correspondent Kellie Meyer got a surprise as she was preparing to go live on Tuesday — a bird landed on her head twice.

Meyer posted the clip to X, formerly Twitter, which she said was saved by the control room. The incident occurred just before she joined Leland Vittert.

“Oh my God! What the —” Meyer says in the video, appearing to mouth the “fuck” to finish that last sentence, as she ducks nearly out of the camera shot when a bird lands on her head.

Meyer tells the control room she’s “okay” as she continues to express shock over the disruption following the bird darting away.

“I know there was a lot of news today but a bird landed on my head at the White House before I went live withe Leland Vittert on NewsNation,” Meyer wrote on X. “He really just wanted to tune in. Our feeds room caught it and saved it of course for your viewing pleasure.”
