Joe Rogan Slaps Back After GOP Congresswoman Claims Anti-ICE Protests Are Manufactured By China
Joe Rogan blasted ICE raids under President Donald Trump’s administration after Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) alleged that protests against the deportation efforts were orchestrated by China.
Luna joined Rogan on The Joe Rogan Experience this week for a lengthy episode where they chatted about everything from UFO sightings to pushback to the widespread ICE raids.
“All of a sudden these pop up riots, I actually call them the TEMU riots. This is a Chinese-funded group, and what they are doing is they are using that front in an effort to then divide on that topic as well,” Luna told Rogan.
The podcaster and comedian made clear he believes foreign countries fund “similar things,” but he pushed back on the outrage being hollow. Rogan argued people want to see more of a focus on violent criminals and gang members in the ongoing ICE raids.
“It was a visceral reaction that a lot of people had to the idea of people just showing up and pulling people out of schools and pulling people out of Home Depot and pulling people that were just hard-working people. That’s what freaks people out,” Rogan said.
He argued that many supporters of deportations and immigration reform do not support ICE focusing on day laborers who migrants in the country illegally who otherwise follow the law.
“When people thought about ICE, they thought, ‘Great, we’re going to get rid of the gang members,’ they didn’t think, ‘Great, you’re going to get rid of the landscaper,'” he said.
Rogan, who endorsed Trump in the 2024 election, has grown more critical of the president in recent weeks over the ICE raids. He called the situation “insane” on his podcast last month.
“It’s insane. We were told there would be no — well, there’s two things that are insane. One is the targeting of migrant workers. Not cartel members, not gang members, not drug dealers,” he said. “Just construction workers. Showing up in construction sites, raiding them. Gardeners. Like, really?”
