Steve Bannon Calls for Rupert Murdoch to Be ‘Denaturalized’ — Even If ‘We Have to Dig Him Up After He’s Dead’

Steven Bannon called for media mogul Rupert Murdoch to be “denaturalized” immediately and booted out of the country even if “we have to dig him up after he’s dead.”

On the Bannon’s War Room podcast, Bannon included Murdoch in a list of people that should be kicked out of the U.S. Murdoch found himself in the company of X owner Elon Musk and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D).

Bannon went after Murdoch the hardest out of the three and singled out the New York Post, one of a number of media outlets owned by Murdoch’s News Corp:

The New York Post, let me be blunt about the New York Post, you’re owned by someone that we should denaturalize immediately.

They got a bunch of Australians, a bunch progressive Australians, and now English, and they said, oh no, they’re Americans — no, please stop.

In the middle of the night, so that he could buy the Fox network — Fox News was over a decade away from even being launched, more than a decade, I think — back in the ’80s, Murdoch’s power move was to buy the Fox network.

Well, to own a broadcast network, you have to be a citizen of the United States of America. And guess what he was not? A citizen of the United States of American. So how’d they do in the middle of the night?

And this is just the way power works, baby. He became a citizen the United States. This kind of got it done. He needs to be denaturalized immediately. I even say, if he died, you go dig him up and denaturalize him. He’s nothing but scum.

Murdoch was born in Australia and became an American citizen in 1985. He’s 95 years old.

Bannon accused Fox News of being “controlled opposition” and blamed Murdoch and his media empire for the rise of progressive Democrats like Mamdani, Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, and Senate candidate James Talarico in Texas:

One of the reasons that we could have Abdul in the Senate from Michigan and Talarico in the Senate from Texas and you got Mamdani already running the deal in the greatest city in the world, the financial capital world, is because the controlled opposition of Fox News and the whole crowd over there.

You got one or two that have been okay but by in large you go look at the policies that they have backed for decade after decade after decade.

It’s he same neoliberal neocon policies that got us into this. It’s not America First. They’re not nationalists. They hate populism so New York Post, shove that up your a*s, okay?

Bannon wrapped up his rant by doubling down on denaturalizing and deporting Murdoch, telling the Post to “suck on that.”

“You’re owned by a bunch of progressive Australians that we’re gonna denaturalize. If we gotta dig him up after he’s dead, we’ll dig him after he is dead like they dug up Cromwell and we’ll denaturalize him,” he said.
