Trump Fan At Now-Removed Trump-Epstein Statue Says He Won’t Release File ‘Because He’s On It’

A Trump fan who came to see the now-removed statue of President Donald Trump and deceased sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein said he believes Trump hasn’t released the so-called “Epstein Files” because he is in them.

A mysterious group called “Secret Handshake” installed a statue on the National Mall this week depicting Trump and Epstein holding hands and skipping. The statue was taken down by federal Park Police because they claimed it did not comply with the permit.

On Wednesday’s episode of The Jim Acosta Show, the host welcomed Epstein survivor Jess Michaels and played footage of his interview with a Trump supporter near the statue before it was taken down:

JIM ACOSTA: And I mean, one of the things that is happening in D.C. Is the people are rising up and the people are making sure that folks don’t forget about what what has happened with Jeffrey Epstein, in particular, his friendship with Donald Trump. And there was one big example right in front of the Capitol yesterday.

JIM ACOSTA: I’m sure you saw this, Jess, just remarkable. Somebody somebody a group called Secret Handshake. We’re not sure who those folks are. If they ever want to come on the Jim Acosta show, they’re welcome to come on at any point. But they put the statue up there yesterday.

I was down there covering this. I mean, we saw a steady stream of tourists, of government workers, you name it, anybody who was down on the mall. They wanted to come see this.

And Jess, I have to play this one piece of sound for you, because I did find a Trump supporter who went to check out the statue for himself.

And this is what he said. This is what he told me.

JIM ACOSTA: You guys are Trump supporters, you guys like Trump or–.

TRUMP FAN: Yeah.

JIM ACOSTA: You like him?

TRUMP FAN: Yeah.

JIM ACOSTA: Why do you think he won’t release the files?

TRUMP FAN: Because he’s on it.

JIM ACOSTA: You still like him, though?

TRUMP FAN: If he’s on it, probably not, no.

JIM ACOSTA: So there you go. I mean, and this, I think, explains why Donald Trump has been standing. He’s been the biggest obstacle to this the whole time.

If this comes out and he’s he’s mentioned in there in a damaging way, he’s obviously going to want to prevent that from happening. And his own supporters seem to get that.
