Golden State Warriors Assistant Coach Dies After Sudden Heart Attack

Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic died Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at a team dinner, Eurohoops reported. He was 46.
The team was in Salt Lake City for its Wednesday night game against the Utah Jazz. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported early Wednesday that Milojevic was hospitalized due to a “sudden and serious health issue” that occurred while the team was at a restaurant.

Hours later, Wojnarowski reported that the NBA has postponed Wednesday’s game.

Eurohoops then confirmed that Milojevic ultimately succumbed to a heart attack.
The Serbian coach had been with the Warriors since 2021. In an ESPN report, he was described as a “well-regarded and popular coach” in the NBA and internationally. Milojevic was also good friends with Denver Nuggets superstar and fellow Serbian Nikola Jokic.
