‘I Gotta Keep an Eye on You’: First Take Crew Stunned by Dan Orlovsky Sniffing Molly Qerim’s Shoe

A First Take segment was momentarily derailed Tuesday when analyst Dan Orlovsky shocked his colleagues by sniffing the shoe of host Molly Qerim.

On Tuesday’s episode, Orlovsky and Qerim were in New York while Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe joined the show from ESPN’s studio in Los Angeles. During a discussion about the controversial ending of the game between the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys, Orlovsky took a moment to call out Smith for the heels he purchased for Qerim as a gift.

He seemed puzzled by the style of the shoes.

“What is this?” Orlovsky said under his breath while Qerim explained how she discovered the gift in her office. “How come there’s no brand on it?”

Smith and Sharpe immediately jumped on Orlovsky for the questions and attacked his fashion sense. Then, he suddenly took a whiff of the shoe.

“Are you really sniffing the shoe?” Qerim asked from across the desk. “I just got the shoe and I have tights on. Don’t be weird.”

Their colleagues in LA were just as confused.

“He just sniffed her shoes,” Smith said to Sharpe.

“I don’t know about you, Dan,” Sharpe said. “I gotta keep an eye on you.”

They then began to theorize why Orlovsky did it.

“You know, he might have a foot fetish,” Smith said. “Dan might be one of those.”

It was a strange morning for Orlovsky. Less than an hour before that, he ate a pancake off the floor of the studio during the taping of Get Up.
