Jason Kelce Baffled By ‘People’ Naming Him a Sexiest Man Alive While Snubbing His Brother Travis

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce was just as surprised as everyone else when he found out People nominated him for its “Sexiest Man Alive” issue.

On Tuesday, the magazine listed him in the final cut that included Usher, Lenny Kravitz, Timothee Chalamet, Jamie Foxx, and Pedro Pascal. Kelce being on the list came as a shock to the internet; and he decided to chime in Tuesday night by modestly saying, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.”

Kelce appeared on Philly’s SportsRadio WIP on Wednesday morning and implied the honor didn’t make much sense.

“I’m not even the sexiest man in my family, let alone the sexiest man alive,” Kelce said, likely referring to his younger brother and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. “I mean, what are we talking about here?”

“It’s fun. I mean, the publicity around the family and everything has gone to a completely different level. But yeah, that was funny to see, for sure.”

As Kelce noted, the family has gotten much more attention in 2023 for a variety of reasons. In addition to the brothers’ popular podcast New Heights, they had the most compelling storyline of the Super Bowl when they faced one another. Their mother Donna Kelce, sporting Eagles and Chiefs gear to support them both, was arguably the star of the weekend.

Coming into this season, the Kelce family was already one of the most beloved in the NFL. In fact, Jason’s Eagles jersey was among the best-selling in the NFL at the start of the season. The achievement is rare for an offensive lineman.

When it was revealed Travis was dating Taylor Swift, it brought even more attention to the Kelce clan. Travis, however, did not make People’s list, but there fortunately doesn’t seem to be any “Bad Blood” between the brothers over the snub.
