‘Oh My Gosh’: Fan Throws Dildo on Court During WNBA Game

A WNBA game between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream took quite a turn when a fan threw a dildo on the court during a crucial moment.

With the game tied 75-75 with exactly one minute remaining in the fourth quarter, a bright green object came flying onto the court and landed near a few of the players.

“Hayes gets blocked by Maya Caldwell,” the play-by-play woman said as the object made landfall. “Something flies on the court, actually, from the crowd. The officials say they will continue play.”

The ball went out of bounds, stopping play, and the broadcast team took a moment to examine a replay to see if they could identify the object and perhaps who threw it.

“The object comes, that green thing bounces, and it goes to the sideline,” she said, looking at the slo-mo replay. “We’re not sure where it came from. No room for any of that type of activity.”

As she spoke, a smiling police officer was shown standing over the object.

“And no one’s picked the object up yet,” the play-by-play person said right as the camera panned to the bright green dildo on the floor. “Oh my gosh. Ok, ok. Inappropriate. Get ’em outta here, whoever it is.”

Indeed, “whoever it is” appeared to be taking a page out of Buffalo Bills fans’ playbook.

In 2018, during a game in Buffalo against the New England Patriots, someone in the stands threw a dildo on the goal line that landed near a Patriot being tackled. Naturally, the moment went viral, and Bills fans began a tradition of throwing dildos on the field when playing the Patriots.

As for Tuesday’s contest, the Valkyries won 77-75.
