TNT’s Kevin Harlan Makes Surprise Cameo After Denver Nuggets Star Jamal Murray’s Impossible Half-Court Shot

TNT play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan found himself at the center of the NBA’s biggest shot of the night when Jamal Murray hit a half-court 3-pointer right in front of him.

As the first half of Game 4 between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves was coming to a close, the Nuggets got a steal leading to a dunk by forward Michael Porter Jr. with 1.6 seconds left. Then, Murray stole the ball and heaved it front half-court. The shot was all net.

Immediately after making the shot, Murray turned to Harlan and the rest of TNT’s commentary team and stared them down. Harlan was still calling the shot at he stared back.

“Murray, good if it goes,” Harlan said as the shot went up. “Got it! Got it! Got it! A big-time three! Oh, what a shot!”

The shot gave the Nuggets a 15-point halftime lead after the Timberwolves pulled within nine less than 30 seconds before.

Analyst Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford were just as stunned.

“And look at Jamal Murray,” Miller said, “staring down Kevin Harlan, who just received his jersey here!

“Here’s the dunk by Porter Jr. Here, you thought the quarter was over… Not giving up the play is Jamal Murray! Like it had eyes! I see you, Kev!”
