Anderson Cooper Falls for ClickHole Parody
Recently, ClickHole, The Onion‘s evil clone of BuzzFeed, did that thing where they made up hilariously fake quotes from celebrities referring to current events. This time, the theme was “commencement addresses,” and here’s Anderson Cooper‘s fake speech to NYU’s class of 2015:
But was it slanderous?! Anderson Cooper thought so for a bit:
Ummm… @Clickhole, do u make this stuff up? I never said this quote and never spoke to the NYU class of 2015. https://t.co/oRSDgpQXxx

There was a slim, slim chance that Cooper was slyly referring to the time Russell Crowe got mad at ClickHole for making up fake quotes. That theory was shot down pretty quickly, because, well… Cooper realized his mistake:
Probably should have looked at what @Clickhole is. Wah, wah.

We’re honestly shocked that major media figures still haven’t already figured out ClickHole’s deal. Actually, it’s less “shocked,” and more “excited to see what other A-lister falls for this site next, and maybe threaten a lawsuit.”
