Ann Romney: Mitt Has Been ‘Looking At’ Choosing A Woman For VP

Both Mr. and Mrs. Romney popped up on CBS News this morning in an interview with Jan Crawford. Ann Romney did a lot of the talking and, while much of the interview focussed on misconceptions she feels people have about her husband (he’s actually like super nice) as well as the White House (they’re actually like super mean), Crawford did get the aspiring First Lady to discuss Mitt’s closely kept VP secret. Unsurprisingly, nothing was actually divulged, but we do now know that there is at least one lady in the running.

Romney (the female one) told Crawford that she has been going over her husband’s possible choices and is looking forward to someone “that Mitt will enjoy, with the same personality type, that will enjoy spending time with them, and also competent, capable, and willing to serve this country.” Crawford then asked if the GOP could be going with another female VP and Ann stated that Mitt had been “looking at” that possibility, adding that she herself “love[s] that option.”

Again, nothing definitive but, in an interview that tended to get rather fluffy (Can you believe that the wife of a presidential candidate thinks her husband is a good guy?! Shocking!), it was an interesting little tid bit.
