Ann Romney Tells The View: Mitt Won’t Run Again If He Loses
Appearing on The View this morning, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney‘s wife Ann told the hosts that her husband will “absolutely” not campaign again if he were to lose the upcoming election.
Romney told the hosts that she was reluctant to campaign again following her husband’s defeat in the 2008 Republican primaries.
“This was a very hard thing for me to decide to go forward again,” she said, “for the family to have to go through this. The children have a hard time with it. I have a hard time with it.”
However, she explained that this time around, she felt compelled to campaign because “I felt as though there was something my husband could offer this country that was uniquely his, that he could bring better economic hope and prosperity to women and men and all Americans.”
At another point in the interview, Romney told the hosts that her husband will “absolutely” not run again if he loses to President Obama in the upcoming presidential election.
“He will not run again, nor will I do anything like that again,” she said.
