Arianna Huffington Blasts Obama Admin: ‘They Have Bought Into The Republican Talking Points’

During an appearance on This Week With George Stephanopoulos the publisher of the Hufington Post blasted, Arianna Huffington, expressed immense frustration with President Obama‘s embrace of austerity measures.

Huffington noted that while the government has focused on deficit reduction there’s been a “64 percent increase in suburban poverty, a doubling of people on food stamps and disability payments, millions of people’s homes underwater.”

“The administration is ignoring this crisis because they’re prioritizing deficit reduction. They have bought into the Republican talking points,” said Huffington.

She pointed to the problems Europeans have faced throughout their embrace of austerity, adding that it is not a right vs. left argument.

“The administration is not putting forward a coherent vision that is emphasizing jobs and growth,” said Huffington.

Fox’s Greta Van Susteren said the “paralysis” currently engulfing Washington was related more to the sluggish economy.
