Attorney Confirms That Is His Client and Michael Brown in Surveillance Video

A lawyer for Dorian Johnson, the man who was with Michael Brown when he was shot by a police officer on Saturday by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer, has confirmed that it is his client and Brown in the convenience store surveillance video that shows the two men allegedly stealing cigars and pushing a clerk. Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson released the video earlier today, though he admitted that the officer who shot Brown did not know he was a suspect in the robbery.

Freeman Bosley, Jr. told CNN’s Don Lemon that he did not believe Johnson “lied” when he neglected to tell the media about the incident in the convenience store. But when he and his client met with the FBI, they did tell them what had happened.

The lawyer would not tell Lemon whether Dorian Johnson was able to make a deal with the FBI for immunity for telling them what happened, and possibly pinning the “robbery” on Michael Brown. Earlier in the day, CNN reported that Johnson will not be charged in relation to that incident. Because Johnson is now a federal witness, Bosley said he will not be doing anymore television interviews.
