Bill Maher Compares Tucker Carlson to Gymnast: What’s It Called When You ‘Blow Putin And Twist Yourself Up In Knots?’
Comic and pundit Bill Maher took a hard shot at Tucker Carlson, comparing him in lewd terms to gymnast Alina Kabaeva, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s alleged lover.
On Friday night’s edition of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, the host used his “New Rules” segment to slam Mr. Carlson over the Putin-friendly rhetoric that has drawn the notice of countless journalists and commentators. He did so by metaphorically slut-shaming Mr. Carlson over an act that requires great flexibility, then took aim at other targets as well:
Someone has to get in touch with Vladimir Putin’s mistress, the gymnast Alina Kabaeva, and ask her what she’s smiling about. Jesus, my… my neck hurts from reading in bed.
And what do you call a position where you blow Putin and twist yourself up in knots? Oh, oh, right, the Tucker Carlson.
New Rule, let’s stop acting stunned when a ship that sunk to the bottom of the ocean is later found sunk at the bottom of the ocean. This week, the 100 year old Antarctic Explorer ship Endurance was found 10000 feet beneath the sea off the coast of Antarctica. Where do you think we’d find it? The Short Hills Mall? Well, who doesn’t love a good shipwreck, but if you really want to impress me, find out which smoke detector is making the beeping noise.
New rule, if you’re what is normally considered a Grown-Up and you’re wearing this Disney Dumbo-themed hoodie. You can’t be offended if you walk by people and they start throwing peanuts.
New rule, these people in Vera Cruz participating in the annual Holy Burial of Christ celebration by dressing up as clowns and parading around town, have to ask themselves exactly what are we doing again? Celebrating Jesus by dressing up like clowns? Everybody knows you celebrate the resurrection with the Big Bunny who delivers eggs.
New rule, let me just say to Theresa Rose, the woman who agreed to a three-way with her husband as a treat for his birthday, realized during the encounter that she was a lesbian, and then divorced him. Good for you for coming to terms with your sexuality. And let me just say to Teresa’s husband. Happy birthday!
The balance of the segment was devoted to commentary about Ukraine.
