Bill O’Reilly, Chris Matthews Inducted into Irish-American Hall of Fame
O’Reilly Factor host Bill O’Reilly and Hardball host Chris Matthews have been feuding this week over whether President Abraham Lincoln would have gone on either Funny or Die or Fox News.
But on Wednesday they took a break from the fussin’ and the fightin’ to be inducted, along with Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, into the Irish American Hall of Fame. According to Irish Central, both men were “gracious, intelligent and witty in their acceptance speeches,” though “Matthews did slag O’Reilly a little for leaving before it was Matthews’ turn to speak.”
The Hall of Fame is sponsored by Irish America magazine.
Matthews followed up on the induction with a segment on his show Wednesday night discussing his Irish heritage. Watch below, via MSNBC:
