Busch Gardens Pulls Headless Figures That Recalled ISIS Beheadings for Some
As part of its annual Howl-O-Scream festivities, Busch Gardens in Virginia included in its spooky decorations some headless figures. But the amusement park has now decided to remove them after some visitors complained that they reminded them too much of beheadings committed by the terrorist network ISIS.
A spokesperson for the park told ABC affiliate WRIC News that the figures were designed and purchase months ago, before videos were released online of ISIS beheading multiple American journalists.
“I think it was good that they pulled it,” one attendee told the news station. “I think it was out of order and insensitive to public sentiment. So I’m glad they responded.”
