Carson: Changes Coming So Campaign Is More Consistent with ‘The Way That I Am’
Ben Carson continued to elaborate tonight on his plans for a campaign shakeup, telling Fox’s Melissa Francis, “There will be some changes made so the campaign is more consistent with me, with the way that I am.”
Last week Carson had hinted at staffing changes, but tonight he spoke in broader terms about shaking up his campaign, saying he is not a “confrontational” person, but rather someone who “does put out the truth and is transparent and is reasonable to people.”
Carson also acknowledged that he has dropped in the polls, but only because people don’t think he’s tough. He argued that toughness “is not dictated by how loudly you say something,” but instead about what you have achieved in life.
He bragged about how he has 67 honorary degrees, and they don’t give those to “weak people.”
