Charles Krauthammer on Redskins Name: ‘I Think It’s Over the Line’

Among the many sports reporters and commentators who’ve come out against the Washington Redskins team name, one recent addition may surprise readers: Washington Post columnist and frequent Fox commentator Charles Krauthammer.

Appearing on Inside Washington this weekend, Krauthammer expressed his true feelings on the team’s controversial nickname. “I think the people who argue for keeping it are quite sincere,” he admitted. “It has become a thing where you do not think about its origins.”

“However,” he continued, “and I am not a guy who is usually politically correct, but, if it were personally my choice, I do think it is over the line. It is something that if you can change, you ought to change.”
