Charlie Rose Criticizes Hillary for Attacking Republicans: ‘That’s Not the Way to Do It!’

CBS This Morning host Charlie Rose confronted Hillary Clinton during an interview that aired early Tuesday, challenging the Democratic candidate on her assertion that Republicans are to blame for heightened partisanship in Washington.

“A lot of people think the biggest problem for America is Washington. That’s the problem,” Rose said. “That’s partly reflected in some of the politics that we see.”

“Well, yes that’s true,” Clinton said adding that Founding Fathers “set up this separation of powers and they made it really difficult to get things done.”

“And some years it’s really hard,” Clinton continued. “And we’re in one of these periods where we have a minority within the other party that doesn’t believe in compromise, doesn’t believe in reaching consensus.”

“But there you go attacking them,” Rose interjected. “That’s not the way to do it.”
