Chris Christie Nabs His Biggest Endorsement Yet…

New Jersey Govenor Chris Christie just picked up his tallest endorsement yet in his campaign for reelection: Shaquille O’Neal.

O’Neal was born in Newark, and previously assisted Christie in state initiatives, including an after-school lunch program in Camden.

The basketball star endorsed Christie in a campaign ad in which he concedes that he doesn’t often involve himself in politics, but is making an exception for Christie—who, it should be added, is far ahead of his opponent Barbara Buono in the polls:

“He’s a good man,” O’Neal said, after listing his reasons for supporting Christie, including school funding and merit pay for teachers. “Excuse me—he’s a great man.”
