Chris Gethard Inherited Some Recognizable Parts of David Letterman’s Set

If you don’t immediately recognize Chris Gethard‘s name, that probably because (a) you’ve never watched New York Public Access, or (b) you don’t watch Fusion. The rather unique comic’s late night show, The Chris Gethard Show, went from the annals of Manhattan’s television screens to streaming on Fusion recently, and the latest episode is due out Thursday, June 25 at 10 p.m. ET.

Why is this important? Because Gethard recently inherited two very important pieces of late night television history from former Late Show host David Letterman — the fiberglass replicas of the Brooklyn and George Washington bridges that once adorned the stage behind Dave’s desk. Both will debut during “Til Geth Do Us Part,” during which Gethard will perform marriage ceremonies for three couples on the show.

Oh yeah, and Will Ferrell is the show’s designated best man for all three sets of newlyweds — whether or not they liked the travesty that was Get Hard.
