Chris Matthews Wants to Use Lie Detector on Cruz: Who’s ‘Sitting On’ Trump Bombshells?

Chris Matthews went off on Ted Cruz again tonight for his claim that he has firsthand knowledge of news organizations withholding damning Donald Trump reporting until he’s the GOP nominee.

Cruz said the liberal media just can’t wait to pounce on Trump, but are waiting until they can do damage in the general election.

Matthews played the clip of Cruz saying all that, and then said, “I would love to know why we can’t use, occasionally, lie detectors.” He said Cruz just made things up and wondered what the hell he’s talking about.

He asked Eugene Robinson, “Have you ever heard of a major newspaper… sitting on a really good story they got because it’s not ripe enough politically?”

And he once again called Cruz the modern-day Joe McCarthy.
