Chris Rock Opens SNL Monologue with Awkward Riff on Boston Bombing, 9/11

Chris Rock kicked off his SNL hosting stint tonight with the odd choice of riffing on terrorism, including the Boston marathon bombing and why he will never set foot inside the Freedom Tower.

On the Boston bombing, Rock said it must take a special kind of evil to target people running a marathon, because, as he put it, the last thing you want to shout to people as they’re coming up on the last leg of a 26-mile marathon is “Run!”

Rock also found it strange that another tower was built on the site of the last tower that was attacked by terrorists in New York, and said he would never go in there, even if there was a naked Scarlett Johansson with ribs on hand.
