CNN Reporter Hala Gorani Finds Herself Trapped Amid Egyptian Protests
It’s difficult, as an outsider sitting relatively comfortably in one’s living room, or somewhat awkwardly in a cubicle, to really grasp the pervading sense of chaos and uncertainty in Egypt right now. CNN’s Hala Gorani, however, found herself becoming quite up close and personal with the country’s mass of protesters when she nearly became quite literally swept away by the revolutionary spirit surging through Egypt.
A camera person captured Gorani struggling to remain upright as a local Egyptian attempted to usher her away from Cairo’s Tahrir Square.
“This is just a completely surreal experience,” said Gorani, out of breathe and seemingly nervous as protesters run and clash with one another all around her. Watch the video from CNN:
