CNN’s John King Slams Trump For Giving a ‘Low Energy’ Teleprompter Speech

john-king-trumpeditedThroughout the GOP primary, specifically early on when Jeb Bush was the initial frontrunner, current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump tormented the former Florida Governor by labeling him “low energy.”

On Tuesday, that critique came back to haunt the real estate mogul when CNN cut away from a rally speech in Pennsylvania. Host John King commented that Trump on teleprompter is completely different and lacks a certain amount of oomph.

After recapping the substance of the speech in which Trump promised to repeal and replace Obamacare and get rid of NAFTA, King brought up Trump’s demeanor and enthusiasm.

“Number one, Trump on prompter lacks energy,” King stated. “He might call himself low energy there to borrow a term from the primaries.”

The panel discussion then veered into how it is necessary to keep Trump on teleprompter when talking about Obamacare because he isn’t adept to addressing it off the cuff. King also wanted to know if the Trump campaign was necessarily “back in the game” in Pennsylvania.

Currently, Real Clear Politics shows Trump down in the state by an average of 6.0 points with a week left.
