Community Might Come Back on Hulu
Much like Greendale Community College and its inexplicable ability to survive anything, the cult tv show Community might be resurrected: Deadline reports that creator Dan Harmon is in talks to bring the show to Hulu, where it will live online, hopefully forever.
Deadline stresses that the talks are only preliminary and nothing is certain yet, but the news is bound to make the show’s diehard fans freak the hell out, as well as revive the internet’s hopes for six seasons and a movie.
Harmon, the notorious creator of the show, initially declared that he wouldn’t take the show elsewhere after NBC cancelled it, but said in a blog post that he was open to changing his mind. “I’m not going to be the guy that recancels cancelled Community,” he wrote.
The deal, if it happens, is a great one for Hulu, which already carries the entire Community series: the show’s passionate internet fanbase, which was responsible for keeping the show on NBC despite its low ratings, would be key to its success online. Additionally, it would go along with Hulu’s new mission to air original content, much like its competitors Amazon and Netflix.
There’s only one proper response to this news, and it is this:
