Congressman Reveals Epstein Estate Will Hand Over Book Containing Alleged Trump Birthday Message
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) broke some news on Friday’s All In on MSNBC, where he said the estate of Jeffrey Epstein will produce several documents that have not been made public. That includes an album of well-wishes for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003.
Epstein, a sex trafficker and former friend of President Donald Trump, died of suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019, according to officials.
Last month, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump sent Epstein a birthday message in 2003 that featured a drawing of a nude woman. Trump’s message concluded, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
Trump denies sending the message and is suing the Journal over the report.
Speculation about Trump and Epstein reignited after the president’s Department of Justice said it would not be releasing its files regarding Epstein or his alleged client list. That decision angered many Trump supporters, who had long hoped he would release the files and possibly out several famous people as sex pests. In February, Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed Epstein’s client list was “sitting on her desk,” but she now claims there is no such list.
Speaking on All In, Garcia explained that Congress will soon have some documents provided by Epstein’s estate:
I’ll just say, one other piece of news that actually just developed in the last couple hours is we finally got word from the Epstein estate. They’re gonna be providing the actual Epstein book, that famous book where that note that Donald Trump drew and doodled to Jeffrey Epstein, his so-called best friend of 10 to 15 years.
The estate is actually going to actually now get us that book and a bunch of other documents that they have that’s actually not been reported yet. Reporting here for the first time. We’re gonna get those documents as we understand it now on September the 8th. And so that will continue our investigation.
And again, we ask the question, where are the rest of the documents? What is Pam Bondi hiding? What is Donald Trump hiding? And the cover-up? Let’s get to the truth.
Trump’s alleged letter to Epstein was included in a book compiled by Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for child sex trafficking. Earlier this month, the Trump administration transferred Maxwell to a lower-security prison after she answered questions from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who was previously Trump’s criminal attorney.
