Cuomo Challenges Mike Pence to Answer Discrimination Question on CNN

During a contentious interview on This Week yesterday, Indiana Governor Mike Pence (R) dodged a repeated question from host George Stephanopoulos on whether the so-called “religious freedom” bill he just signed would legitimize discrimination against gays and lesbians.

Monday morning New Day anchor Chris Cuomo challenged Pence to come on his show and take another swing.

“You are a leader,” Cuomo said. “People talked about you as a presidential contender. Leaders go first.”

“We saw you on ABC,” he continued. “We know what the questions are. You didn’t want to answer them there. This needs explanation. Please come on.”
