Dan Abrams On DSK Prosecutors Decision: Can’t Use A ‘Moral Compass, But A Legal One’

Mediaite founder and ABC legal analyst Dan Abrams stopped by Good Morning America to discuss a recent interview with Nafissatou Diallo, the woman who accused former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of rape, and whether her outspokenness will help or harm a case against DSK.

Abrams emphasized the fact that, in this case, what the people of New York think matters. His concern is that the prosecution handed the defense team a note that said Diallo had lied on her on her tax forms and on her application for asylum in addition to lying about a previous rape, lied to the grand jury, and “lied to us.” He allowed that some prosecutors may believe she had indeed been raped by DSK, but possibly feel they cannot prove as much in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
