David Letterman Signs Off: ‘That’s Pretty Much All I Got’
After an extra-long show filled with presidents, self-deprecating jokes, celebrities, David Letterman thanked his crew, band, family and fans before introducing his “favorite band” the Foo Fighters to close out 33 years in late night television.
“Alright, that’s pretty much all I got,” Letterman said. “The only thing I have left to do, for the last time on a television program — thank you and good night.”
The band then launched into “Everlong,” the same song they played after Letterman returned from heart surgery, over a photo montage of moments from Late Show history.
