Dem Rep. on Walter Scott Shooting: ‘Feels Like Open Season on Black Men’
Democratic Congressman Hank Johnson made it very clear today he is tired of all the recent incidents in the news involving African-Americans being shot by the police, and the Walter Scott shooting pushed him to speak out yet. Johnson took to the House floor this afternoon, and right off the bat he declared, “It feels like open season on black men in America.”
Johnson did not limit his comments solely to African-Americans, though, saying that “all Americans are at risk when bad actors in law enforcement use their guns instead of their heads.”

From there, Johnson read a list of people who have been killed by police officers, including Scott, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, and many others.
