Democratic Rep. Gregory Meeks: Trump Is a ‘Proven Liar’

Congressman Gregory Meeks (D- NY) said on CNN this morning multiple times that President Donald Trump is a liar.

In response to Trump accusing James Comey of committing perjury, Meeks told Brianna Keilar that’s “another lie by the president” and said, “The person that we know to be a liar is the President of the United States.”

He cited previous comments made by Republicans like Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, and Mitt Romney about how untrustworthy Trump is, as well as things in Trump’s own history like pushing the birther conspiracy theory.

“He has lied time and time again,” Meeks concluded. “He is a proven liar.”
