Does MSNBC Have a ‘Watch List’ for Ex-Employees Who Can’t Enter 30 Rock?

Former Morning Joe executive producer Chris Licht said he was on a “security watch list” that almost kept him from being able to attend a meeting at 30 Rock last week. The list was reportedly created by MSNBC president Phil Griffin, and names old employees who aren’t allowed in the building without Griffin’s prior approval:

Per New York Post’s Richard Johnson, witnesses said Licht was kept waiting for about ten minutes before being told that he needed Griffin’s approval to enter. “Next time, call in advance,” they reportedly instructed him. He was eventually allowed in, and probably rode an endless series of elevators.

We’ve reached out to MSNBC for comment, and will update if and when we hear back.
