Trump Makes Major Move In $5 Million ‘Orangutan’ Lawsuit Against Maher

Well, this has been anticlimactic.

Three months after Donald Trump announced he is suing Bill Maher for the $5 million he “owes” him after the HBO host offered the cash in exchange for the billionaire mogul proving that he is not “the spawn of an orangutan,” the Apprentice boss has dropped the lawsuit.

Trump released his birth certificate in response to the offer, and when Maher did not respond with a fat $5 million check, the businessman filed a lawsuit in California.

But now, it appears that lawsuit has ended. According to TMZ, Trump filed documents with the L.A. County Superior Court on March 29th, asking to dismiss the case. But one of Trump’s reps told the gossip outlet that the legal feud with Maher is all but finished.

“The lawsuit was temporarily withdrawn to be amended and refiled at a later date,” Trump’s counsel Michael Cohen told TMZ.
