Donald Trump Tells Piers Morgan: ‘I See Nothing Wrong With Using’ Rev. Wright In Campaigning

Donald Trump sat down with Piers Morgan to discuss the general election campaigns. It’s going to be a nasty campaign, he said, deeming Rev. Jeremiah Wright fair game. Trump further went on to say, Democrats aren’t going to bring up unfair things, so there’s nothing wrong Republicans responding to that.

The campaign will be nasty, he said, but that’ll be true of both sides. Asked whether attacks using Wright make Romney’s Mormonism fair game, Trump said Democrats will use whatever they’re going to use, regardless of whether Wright comes into play.

On the topic of Wright, and the recent tapes that made news, Trump said, “These tapes are devastating for the president” — adding, “I see nothing wrong with using it.”

If everybody only debated real issues, that would be different — but in this case, Trump said, a lot of unfair things will be brought up, and Republicans should “act accordingly.”
