Eric Trump Congratulates Fox News Ratings Win: ‘CNN Has Become Totally Irrelevant’

Like father, like son.
Early this morning, presidential scion Eric Trump took to Twitter to congratulate Fox News for dominating the cable news landscape in February. At the same time, he took some pointed shots at CNN for pulling up the rear in the ratings battle.
As Trump noted, Fox News had 15 of the top 20 most-watched programs on cable news while CNN’s top show was Anderson Cooper 360, which came in #24.
Congratulations @FoxNews: Fox has 15 of the top 20 shows with @SeanHannity and @TuckerCarlson leading the pack at 1st and 2nd respectively. CNN has become totally irrelevant, down 19% from last year with only 1 show in the Top 25 (#24th). pic.twitter.com/5IcwYEbFRR

Stating “CNN has become totally irrelevant,” Trump highlighted that CNN is down 19 percent in total day 25-54 demo viewership from this time last year. It should be noted, however, that only MSNBC showed growth from the previous February and Fox News was also down, dropping 10 percent in the total day demo and 12 percent in overall viewers.
Eric Trump, who has made numerous appearances on Fox News programming since his father started his presidential run, appears to be following in President Trump’s footsteps when it comes to slamming CNN. POTUS has devoted quite a bit of his time taking aim at the cable news network that’s he’s deemed “Fake News.” Recently, while pushing a since-debunked story that CNN staged its Parkland town hall, the president tweeted that CNN’s ratings were “so bad.”
