Fox & Friends Laments ‘Hateful’ and ‘Rude’ Rhetoric From Liberals: ‘What Happened to Tolerance?’
The hosts of Fox & Friends were predictably outraged this morning while discussing White House press secretary Sarah Sanders’ removal from a local Virginia restaurant over the weekend — an incident Ansley Earhardt said could be considered “discrimination.”
Earhardt, who said Sanders’ removal from the Red Hen in Virginia was “hateful” and “could lead to violence,” went on the following impassioned rant regarding the controversy:
It’s hateful and it’s rude and it could lead to something very, very dangerous. It could lead to violence because you have people, their blood is just boiling. If there is a confrontation, someone could get hurt in all of this if you’re asking for people to be harassed. Sarah Huckabee Sanders at a restaurant, with her family. Seven people there. Are her kids watching this? Are her kids seeing her mom being harassed just because they don’t agree with her political opinions? The lady who owns this restaurant, is she allowed to do that? Is that discrimination? Are you allowed to just kick someone out because you don’t agree with their policies or beliefs? Whatever happened to tolerance?
Steve Doocy claimed “the whole world’s gone crazy” with “all this political intimidation going on,” as he referenced the Sanders incident, as well as Stephen Miller and Kirstjen Nielsen getting heckled out of — oddly enough — Mexican restaurants after their administration instituted a policy that separated migrant families at the border.
“If they say the resistance needs to go to your neighborhood, to your restaurant, to personal harassment, unfortunately you have people in this country who will take that and apply that,” said co-host Pete Hegseth. “And that’s exactly what we’ve seen.”
