Fox News Asks NBA: Is It Right to Ban Sterling over ‘Remarks Shared in Private’?

You knew someone would ask it, and that someone ended up being a correspondent for Fox’s The Kelly File.

“Should someone lose their team for remarks shared in private?” the correspondent asked. “Is this a slippery slope?”

NBA commissioner Adam Silver‘s response was curt and to the point: “Whether or not these remarks were initially shared in private, they are now public. And they represent his views.” He then immediately went to the next question.

Update — April 30, 11:30 a.m. ET: Kelly added a bit of context to her producer’s question on Tuesday evening, telling her viewers that the question was a follow-up to Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban‘s own remarks that such a ban could lead to a “slippery slope.”
