Fox News Guest on Zohran Mamdani, ‘He’s an Animal’
A Fox News guest ripped New York state Rep. Zohran Mamdani, who is seeking to become the first Muslim mayor of New York City.
Mamdani pulled off a shocking upset of former Governor Andrew Cuomo in June’s Democratic primary. Cuomo is now running in the general election to try to unseat Mayor Eric Adams, who last year was indicted on federal bribery charges. Those charges were dropped by the Trump administration this year. The Republican nominee in the race is Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels.
On Wednesday, WABC New York radio host Sid Rosenberg appeared on Fox News, where he expressed the fear shared by many opposing Mandami, a Democratic Socialist, that Cuomo and Adams will split the non-Republican, anti-Mamdani vote. While doing so, Rosenberg launched into a diatribe that ended with him twice calling Mamdani “an animal”:
There’s no reason to believe right now, as sad as it seems, this guy’s not going to win. Curtis has a very difficult battle. The fact is, Republicans don’t fare well in New York. Gotta go back to Rudy Giuliani and Mike Bloomberg, and Governor Pataki. That’s a long time ago, Brian. And this guy’s taking these boroughs by storm. I mean, it’s not like he is just showing up. The enthusiasm for this guy is through the roof.
Now, I agree with Scott it will come down to Mamdani vs. Sliwa, but a betting man would have to take Mamdani in that. Cuomo and Adams will eat each other alive. Mamdani vs. Sliwa. My heart wants Sliwa. New York should want Sliwa. But right now, there is no logical reason to believe this animal – he’s an animal – he’s not going to win.
Mamdani was born to Indian parents in Uganda. His pro-Palestine views have alarmed Israel’s defenders amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
Rosenberg has a history of incendiary rhetoric. At a rally for President Donald Trump last year, he said, “These f***ing illegals, they get whatever the hell they want!”
Last year, he also accused then-Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff of being a “horrible Jew.”
