Fox’s Bolling Completely Walks Back Saying Cruz Is ‘Not Ready’

Yesterday Fox News’ Eric Bolling had some strong words of criticism for Senator Ted Cruz not being ready to run for president. He said Cruz lacks the experience to run, and compared him (negatively) to President Obama and the pre-presidency experience he had.

Today, Bolling walked it all back.

Kimberly Guilfoyle started off the segment by acknowledging their show’s criticisms of Cruz yesterday. Greg Gutfeld––after jabbing at Sean Hannity hosting Cruz for a “campaign commercial”––said conservatives shouldn’t be afraid to challenge Cruz on his flaws and make sure he’s battle-tested.

Bolling, however, thought he went too far yesterday. He said there’s still a long ways to go in the campaign and to say he lacks experience isn’t necessarily fair.

Even Bolling’s own co-hosts were a little taken aback by this 180, with Dana Perino and Juan Williams pointing out that more people are going to be making this legitimate criticism. Bolling still thought he went too far in disqualifying Cruz already.
