Fox’s Howard Kurtz: No Doubt the Media Got Secret Service Head Fired

Fox’s Howard Kurtz said today that there’s absolutely no question that media reports on Secret Service ineptitude got Director Julia Pierson fired.

Kurtz noted how President Obama is incredibly reluctant to fire anyone in his administration, except in the most serious of circumstances, which applied in Pierson’s face. He just worried that after Pierson’s resignation, people would forget about the Secret Service and move on.

Pierson herself acknowledged in her exit interview that the media was basically gunning for her to resign.
