Homer Simpson Tries to Get Springfield to Embrace Fracking

The Simpsons aired its annual “Treehouse of Horror” special two weeks ago, but this Sunday they are moving on to yet another terrifying subject: hydrofracking. In a new preview for the episode, Homer Simpson takes on the role of local tracking salesman, channeling Matt Damon’s Promised Land character with his flannel shirt.

As you can see, Homer has his pitch down, explaining why allowing hydraulic fracturing in Springfield will help each member of the town in their own specific way. And Jane Fonda is set to make an appearance in the episode as a liberal assemblywoman, so you can look forward to that as well.
