JD Vance Says it Would Be a ‘Miracle’ if Trump is Acquitted in Hush Money Trial

Senator JD Vance (R-OH) said it would be a “miracle” if former President Donald Trump is acquitted in his Manhattan hush money criminal trial.

On Wednesday, Trump entered the courtroom as Judge Juan Merchan is set to begin jury instruction to decide Trump’s guilt or innocence. He faces 34 felony criminal counts for allegedly falsifying business documents regarding hush money payments during the 2016 election season.

Vance joined Fox News for an interview on Wednesday in which he railed against the case — complaining to Fox anchor Bill Hemmer that some of the top individuals on the prosecution’s side are “Democratic operatives.”

I mean, you have, of course, the number three at the Department of Justice going to join the New York prosecutor’s case to do this. You have a Soros-funded prosecutor, Alvin Bragg. You have a judge who’s donated to the Democratic Party, including Biden’s presidential campaign. And perhaps most troubling, Bill, You actually have the daughter of Merchan raising almost $100 million for Democratic candidates off of the very trial that her dad is presiding over. So why aren’t we asking some very tough questions about the corruption of enriching your family from the very trial that you’re presiding over? I really hope Donald Trump gets acquitted. And if he does, it will be a miracle because of how loaded this judge has been from the start. And I think we had some tough questions about whether his bias is actually motivated by his family’s financial interest.
